#5 Pug

The pug is simply a fun loving, sometimes bouncy breed with plenty of cute wrinkles

Good For Novice Owners.
Affectionate with Family.
High playfulness nature.
Known as a Velcro dog.
Average intelligence.
Low potential to bark or howl.
12-15 lifespan.
Weighing from 14 to 18 pounds.

Pugs are not known as watch or guard dogs and rarely have a yappy nature which  will be thankful for, these little buddies are known for overall friendliness.

Pugs also known for being like little clowns at heart, they also carry themselves with a regal manner. Pugs are playful dogs, ready and able for fun and games but they are also lickers and lovers, and must be close to their humans or pack. Pugs love to be the center of attention, and are heartsick if ignored for too long also meaning they don't love being left alone as they love their people so much but they can be if they have to be left.

Unmistakable wrinkles another favorite of why people love the pug come with their own health and cleaning jobs. Cleaning out the wrinkles daily to stop growth of bacteria as if not they can grown skin fold dermatitis so is another job of a pug owner but if you don't mind the daily small clean and average amount of shedding this little bundle of joy will make an lovely companion to single people or families. A pug loves everyone.

Health is obviously not a strong point of this breed sometimes having elongated palates which cause a pug to "backwards sneeze" when excited. Also those cute wrinkles and flat face bring problems such as breathing difficulties and possibly of heat stroke in hot weather also some pugs with particular small nostrils have a even harder time to breath also to add those big beautiful eyes can be prone to temporarily popping out not completely but just out of the socket, called proptosis, which must be put back strait away  by a veterinary professional and this is caused by harsh tugging possibly on a leash or a play time squeezing hug of love meaning those who dont understand the dangers must be watched whilst playing especially with little children. Overall this brachycepalic breed is far from aggressive but obviously has a small chance to be as if they are trained that way as with any other breed they will obey the owner and be but only if taught or trained to be.

The one thing that you can be a assured is a pug will be a true pal of life and will love you beyond anything else but might love their food a little bit more so be careful how many treats you give this food lover as they can easily become obese or overweight.
